HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Seth Dewey let Hutch Post know that he will be leaving the Reno County Health Department on April 5.

"In the past we have enjoyed the great opportunities for educating the community on substance use issues, overdoses, and a wealth of other issues," Dewey said in an email to Hutch Post and to the Hutchinson Tribune.

Dewey will be taking on the role of Regional Area Director for residential and outpatient services for Mirror Inc. in Newton.

Dewey, who is leaving his post as Health Educator with the Reno County Health Department, won the 2022 Kansas Prevention Community Leader Award, recognizing his outstanding contribution to community prevention efforts.

Dewey was nominated back then for his work with the Reno Recovery Collaborative, which consists of Reno County citizens and organizations who are committed to the reduction of harm caused by the substance use epidemic.

Dewey has been with the Reno County Health Department since January 6, 2020.
