Mirror Inc. is an alcohol and drug treatment and prevention and correctional services provider. We offer residential and outpatient services on a statewide basis. Present position is located at the Mirror Therapeutic Community (TC) treatment program based at the Osawatomie Correctional Facility, State Hospital Grounds, Carmichal Building, Osawatomie, KS 66064. The successful applicant will be working with addicted male offenders in a corrections setting. For this position Mirror is seeking a human services or corrections professional with solid counseling experience working with the offender population. Applicant should be able to assist offenders to meet their treatment plan and re-entry goals by helping them to succeed within the TC. BA preferred and AAPS certification or two years experience delivering cognitive change programming to the offender population required. Hours would typically be Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 or 9:30 to 6:00 and one Saturday from 10:00 to 06:00pm every 5th week. The duties of the present TC Counselor position include but are not limited to the following: curricula development and implementation, psychoeducational presentations, group facilitation activities, individual counseling, group counseling, case management activities, all related paperwork demands and the monitoring of inmate movement/behavior within the institution.
